I like this very much, the intensity dial turned down a notch, and there is an even flow of fruit-weight and freshness, with a curb of well-placed phenolics. The epithet is one of strident poise and restrained fruit, long and detailed across the mid-weighted palate. The oak is beautifully nestled, melding with a subtle nuttiness, effortlessly sublimated into the greater whole. An excellent Kevin John. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drinkable now, but best from 2027. Screw cap.

Lemon butter, dried pear, yellow peach and wheat mark the aromas before a cascading of rich and opulent complexity – almond meal, lime pith, yellow grapefruit, grilled nuts, white peach skin, vanilla custard and fine cedar. Some air unlocks further complexity in curry leaf, turmeric and orange pith. There's both depth and restraint, which carries over the palate and is rich but controlled. Yellow peach, subtle Manuka honey, dried pear and lemon butter are quickly wrapped up in a corset of firm, grippy phenolics that pull focus and welcome linearity to draw it to a chiselled finish. Brilliant balance here, with the wine's richness and power wonderfully countervailed by architectural structure. A great release. Drink from 2025-2035. Tasted Aug 2025 by Tom Kline.
