Dram Hunters Strathmill 15 Year Single Malt Scotch (700ml)

This limited single malt was distilled at Strathmill Distillery in Keith, Speyside, and independently bottled by Dram Hunter as part of its Rare Cask Series. Distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2022 at 15 years of age, it comes from single cask #801539 and was released at natural cask strength. Only 243 bottles were produced for the U.S. market, making it a particularly uncommon expression from a distillery whose whisky is rarely encountered as a standalone single malt.

Highly aromatic and fruit-driven, it opens with pear, apple and lemon zest alongside vanilla, barley sugar, hay and black pepper. The palate is juicy and increasingly rich, developing notes of poached pear, baked orange, clove and toasted spice with creamy malt, oat biscuit and chocolatey undertones. The finish carries lingering fruit, warming oak spice and malt. Whisky Advocate awarded it 92 points, praising its evolving character and drinkability at full cask strength.
