Stranahan's Mountain Angel 12 Year Single Malt Whiskey (750ml)

Stranahan’s Mountain Angel 12 Year is a limited-release American Single Malt crafted in Denver, Colorado from 100% malted barley and Rocky Mountain water. The whiskey matures for a full 12 years in new charred American oak barrels at high altitude before being finished in Port wine casks from Portugal. Denver’s dry, high-altitude climate results in substantial evaporation during maturation, with Stranahan’s reporting angel’s share losses exceeding 80% in some barrels, concentrating the whiskey’s character.

Bottled at 94.6 proof (47.3% ABV), Mountain Angel 12 Year offers aromas of caramelized nectarine, fig and lavender, followed by a fruit-forward palate with blueberry, raspberry and blackberry alongside ginger and pastry-like notes. The finish brings vanilla wafer, mature oak and a subtle tobacco character. It is Stranahan’s oldest expression to date and a particularly rare example of extended aging in American Single Malt.
