Viviente Mezcal Cupreata and Tequilana (750ml)

Viviente Mezcal Cupreata & Tequilana is a distinctive artisanal mezcal that brings together two very different agave varieties: wild Cupreata from Guerrero and cultivated Tequilana, better known as Blue Weber agave. By blending these agaves, Viviente creates a spirit that combines the earthy depth and minerality of Cupreata with the bright citrus and floral character of Tequilana, resulting in a balanced and approachable expression.

Produced using traditional methods, the agaves are roasted in earthen pit ovens, naturally fermented, and distilled in copper stills. The palate opens with aromas of roasted agave, fresh herbs, citrus zest, and light smoke, followed by notes of tropical fruit, black pepper, wildflowers, and mineral undertones. The smoke is integrated rather than dominant, allowing the distinctive character of each agave to shine through.

Founded by Julio Ochoa and Oscar Arreola Sánchez, Viviente focuses on showcasing regional agave varieties and traditional mezcal production while supporting the communities that cultivate and distill them. Cupreata & Tequilana offers a unique expression that bridges the bold complexity of wild agaves with the familiar elegance of Blue Weber.

Next-Day Delivery
