Warre's Vintage Port 2000 (750ml)

Warre’s Vintage Port 2000 comes from a widely declared Douro vintage and reflects the house’s traditionally elegant, aromatic style. Produced from grapes selected from Warre’s principal vineyard holdings, the wine was bottled after a short period in wood and has since had more than two decades to develop complexity in bottle.

Now showing a combination of mature and still-vibrant fruit, the 2000 offers blackberry, black cherry and plum alongside dried fruit, violet and savory spice. With time in the glass, notes of dark chocolate, licorice and warm baking spice emerge. The palate remains rich and concentrated, with fine tannins and fresh acidity carrying the wine through a long, composed finish.

At this stage of its development, careful decanting is recommended to separate the wine from its natural sediment. Serve with Stilton or other blue cheeses, dark chocolate, toasted nuts, or simply enjoy on its own after dinner.
